The Derwent Entertainment Centre in Glenorchy was given a $60 million upgrade helping it to become the heart of Tasmania for entertainment and sport. It was also renamed the MyState Bank Arena, which is the new home of Tasmania’s Jack Jumpers NBL basketball team. The redevelopment saw the old DEC transformed into a state-of-the-art venue which allows for both sporting events and major concerts or live performances.

Vos Construction and Joinery was awarded the Head Contract for this redevelopment, with its Joinery division delighted to be selected to deliver $1.6 Million of joinery finishes. The joinery consisted of a substantial amount of Australian made products in particular the Tas Oak Timber slats in the foyers and the Blackwood panelling in the corporate area.
