UTAS Inveresk Glazing

pre-glazed
frames

The UTAS Library was constructed by Vos Construction, with the framing system supplied by Aluminium Industries using the U-Max thermally broken frame series. These frames were structurally glazed in our Hobart workshop using a specialised two-part structural silicone. Once the glazing had cured, the frames were carefully transported to the Launceston site, where they were securely locked together.

Given the distance between our Hobart workshop and the Launceston site, the logistics of transporting the pre-glazed frames presented a significant challenge. Our team had to ensure the frames and glass were handled with the utmost care to avoid any damage during transit. Upon arrival, each frame was either craned into place externally by a tower crane or lifted internally using our Titan glass lifter.
