projects - Construction

Ulverstone Wharf Precinct

The project incorporates three conference areas and a licensed Restaurant/Bar located on the existing wharf, Leven River.

Construction consisted of demolition of the existing wharf storage warehouse. The site is reclaimed land being of fill with great care required not to overload the wharf area with heavy equipment and plant. Steel piles were required to be driven providing an adequate founding for the polished concrete slab. Building structure consists of laminated Tasmanian Oak trusses (constructed onsite), light timber framing, with a perforated Colorbond cathedral ceiling. External cladding is honed blockwork and Matrix panels, Colorbond roofing, structural steel awnings to the North and South elevations and shade sails over the constructed timber deck.
