Peacock Sub Acute Ward
The project undertaken for State Government DHHS was a refurbishment of level one of the Peacock Centre that consisted of the complete internal demolition of the existing offices to a bare shell, then the construction of a completely new 22 bed Sub-Acute care ward, inclusive of two bariatric care units and associated offices and support rooms. The scope was later extended to include a full upgrade of the A/C system to the ground floor along with some other minor works to ground floor infrastructure. This project was very involved as it was undertaken in a live hospital environment and careful consideration had to be given to minimise patient impact.
There were also very stringent infection control measures that had to be implemented and maintained at all times throughout the worksValue: $3.2 Million
